If you don’t have an MGW Shifter already I would suggest getting this brand installed, but really any kind of short shifter is money well spent.
I have a blue MGW shifter on my 1997 Cobra with a T45 transmission & a gold MGW shifter on my 2003 Cobra with a T56 transmission. I bought MGW’s shortest handles they have to offer for both. The shifts are smooth, short, and precise. A hell of alot better than the stock shifter. Although, on the T56 transmission, it still has a tendency to be alittle notchy but once the car warms up it shifts smoothly, it may be just the nature of this transmission.
But regardless, I have only good things to say about MGW’s shifters. Ripping through the gears makes driving a hell of alot more fun. Although, I have never tried any other shifter brand and only purchased this brand because of the great reviews.
So I’m looking to install another short shifter on my wife’s 2003 cobra mustang, does anyone have any other suggestions?
